Section III: Positive Mental Attitude or Flipping Guilt to Awareness
A positive mental attitude is key to attracting abundance, and as discussed in Section II and III, guilt is a very destructive feeling that promotes scarcity over abundance.
In Section II, you spent some time reflecting on what negative emotions, including guilt, you may be holding onto that is keeping you in scarcity mode.
Now that you know this information, it is time to flip that guilt to a new abundance supporting mode. It is awareness.
Awareness is a non-judgmental view of what is. It reveals and expands your opportunities. It heals old wounds. It is a guiding light to new ways of being, thinking, and doing.
When you are not sure whether you are using awareness or guilt to deal with a situation, consider the following:
Do you feel good or bad?
Is there relief or tension when you think about this situation?
If you are journaling about what happened, do you feel like a loving parent is talking to you or do you feel like you just got sent to the principal's office?
If you are feeling badly with little relief and that you are judged, you are in guilt territory. In order to cultivate awareness and then shift to a positive state of mind, you are looking for relief, at the least.
It's OK. Really, it is.
The above statement is the way it feels in awareness. There may be changes, but you make them from a strong positive place, not a shameful, guilt-ridden one.
